Lluv-N-Llamas 4-H
group was founded in 1994. The group size was around 12-25 kids and
we were blessed to work with such an enthusiastic group of parents
and kids! I have been involved with 4-H since the 80's both as a
leader and as a member (one of the first in Washington) The group
attended many shows throughout the years and did community service
activities. Every year for Christmas we took the llamas to the
nursing home to sing and visit. We have also done food drives with
the llamas carrying the newly acquired food donations. We are however
at this point, winding down. For now I have retired the group until
there are more kids interested in this program and we need a
break.
I feel that it
is important to support the 4-H youth since they are making a choice
to do something positive, instead of some of the other things kids do
today. This is a major reason why we volunteer our time to work with
these kids. The other part of it is, we really do like them a
lot!

I
do judge 4-H on the Danish System and am available for some events
this year. I also conduct clinics for a nominal fee to help the kids
with showing, grooming, judging and other things.
